Movies similar to Black Swan?

Not the ballet aspect, but the whole did-this, did-that happen way of storytelling. As ANYONE who has seen it can tell you, it takes more than one viewing to take it all in. Well, I was standing in line at the library today ready to check out when the woman behind me saw that I was checking out Black Swan. She recommended a movie to me but I cannot think of what it was called. The only thing I can remember is that it was an older movie that started with an M and is a deep, thought provoking movie. It was something like Mysterio or Mesmerismo, I don't know. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated!
