Political office and whether they should be allowed in after they have been found guilty of bribery etc?

Do you think the U.S Constitutions definition of bribery, treason, high crimes and misdemeanors are a basis for impeachment if they were done before the official was took into office? I know what my opinion is but would like to see what others have.
